The 41st Annual Scholarship Open Golf Tournament was held again this year. The Golden Tee Golf Club of Fort Worth choose two 2023 Scholarship Recipients. For many years the organization has supported young people in pursuing their goals of a higher education and given them a jump start on their career plans.
Parents, grandparents and the community all know how important it is that we support our children in taking that first step toward success. Sometimes it takes a village. The Golden Tee Gofl Club has been that village for years.
The 2023 Scholarship Recipients are Miss Trinity L. Grigsby she will be attending Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX pursuing a degree in Business. Miss Ella G. Ferguson she will be attending Emory University in Atlanta, GA pursuing a degree in Criminology, Sociology or Political Science.
They each were awarded a $2,000 scholarship.

The 2022 Scholarship Recipient is Miss Kenadi N. McElroy she will be attending Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas pursuing a degree in Psychology. Golden Tee Golf Club awarded Miss McElroy a $2,000 scholarship.

The 39th Annual Scholarship Open Golf Tournament was not held again this year due to the COVID-19 virus. This tournament has been the cornerstone to raising money for their annual scholarship fund. Although this virus has us sheltering in place, it did not stop The Golden Tee Golf Club of Fort Worth from choosing three 2021 Scholarship Recipients. The 2021 Scholarship Recipients are Miss. Savanah R. Antwine will be attending Longy School of Music: Piano Performance, Mr. Travis L. Grigsby, Jr. will be attending Texas State: Business, and Miss Liv A. Ferguson will be attending American University: Communications. They each were awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
Mr. Solomon Wesley. Solomon attended Juan Sequin High School, Arlington, Texas and is the son of Greg Wesley. Solomon will be attending the University of Texas Arlington and Major in Broadcasting. He was awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
Miss Trinity S. Leonard will be attending the University of New Mexico to pursue a Major in Media Communications.
Miss Kayia M. Hardeman will be attending Stephen F. Austin State University to pursue a Major in Nursing.
Miss Yahaira M. Anacleto will be attending Texas Women's University to pursue a Major in Dental Hygiene.

A. Johnson-Watkins was chosen as the $2,000 scholarship winner. Talia is a graduate of Fort Worth, Texas. She will be attending Texas State University to pursue a degree in Fine Arts and Communication.
Myles Vernell Taylor was as the $2,000 scholarship winner. He is a graduate of North Crowley High School, Fort Worth, TX and will attend Texas Christian University to pursue a degree in Psychology.
Trey D. Colbert is the winner of $1,000. He is a graduate of Southwest High School and will be attending Southern Illinois University to pursue a degree in Sport Science
Yvonne Johnson is the winner of $1,000. She is a graduate of John H. Guyer High School in Denton, TX and will be attending North Central Texas College to pursue a degree in Nursing.
Derrick Eugene Johnson is a graduate of John H. Guyer High School in Denton, TX and will be attending Brookhaven Jr College to pursue a degree in Logistics. Awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
Farron Salley is the winner of $1,000. She is a graduate of Southwest High School and will be attending Abilene Christian University to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Danetta Dunn is the winner of $2,000. She is a graduate of Paul Lawrence Dumbar High School and will be attending Prairie View A&M University to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
